Champlain College is a private, undergraduate and graduate college that offers professionally focused programs balanced by an interdisciplinary core curriculum. Since 1878, Champlain College has provided career-focused education to students from its hilltop campus in Burlington, Vermont. Champlain's distinctive educational approach embodies the notion that true learning only occurs when information and experience come together to create knowledge. Champlain offers traditional undergraduate and online undergraduate courses, along with online certificate and degree programs and eight master's degree programs. Champlain offers study abroad programs at its campuses in Montreal, Quebec and Dublin, Ireland. Champlain College is included in the Princeton Review's The Best 384 Colleges: 2019 Edition. For the fourth year in a row, Champlain was named a "Most Innovative School" in the North by U.S. News & World Report's 2019 "America's Best Colleges,” and a “Best Value School” and is ranked in the top 100 “Regional Universities of the North” and in the top 25 for “Best Undergraduate Teaching.”  Champlain is also featured in the Fiske Guide to Colleges for 2020 as one of the "best and most interesting schools" in the United States, Canada and Great Britain and is a 2019 College of Distinction. Students Inducted into Rho Omicron chapter of Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society

Champlain College students were inducted into the Rho Omicron chapter of the Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society on November 11. The purpose of Phi Alpha Honor Society is to provide a closer bond among students of social work and promote humanitarian goals and ideals. Phi Alpha fosters high standards of education for social workers and invites into membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work.

The following students volunteered at the Champlain College apiary during the fall of 2014. The students helped by harvesting, bottling, labeling, and selling honey. The apiary produced 500+ pounds of honey this season.

Champlain College Hires Eco-Reps for 2014-15 School Year

Champlain College hired 17 students as Eco-Reps for the 2014-15 school year. According to the Champlain College website, "Eco-Reps are peer educators within college residence halls that model environmentally responsible living behaviors and conduct education and outreach to fellow residents. Eco-Reps are trained and coordinated by the Sustainability Director who connects them to appropriate campus personnel and resources."

Peer Advisor 2014-2015

Peer Advisors (PA's) are assigned a group of first-year students whom they help navigate through their first year requirements. PA's are also there as a friend and resource to their advisees. They provide social programs in the residence hall and make a point to check in with their advisees on a regular basis. The second piece of the Peer Advisor's job is to facilitate or support LEAD events. The following students were hired for the 2014-2015 school year:
