Champlain College is a private, undergraduate and graduate college that offers professionally focused programs balanced by an interdisciplinary core curriculum. Since 1878, Champlain College has provided career-focused education to students from its hilltop campus in Burlington, Vermont. Champlain's distinctive educational approach embodies the notion that true learning only occurs when information and experience come together to create knowledge. Champlain offers traditional undergraduate and online undergraduate courses, along with online certificate and degree programs and eight master's degree programs. Champlain offers study abroad programs at its campuses in Montreal, Quebec and Dublin, Ireland. Champlain College is included in the Princeton Review's The Best 384 Colleges: 2019 Edition. For the fourth year in a row, Champlain was named a "Most Innovative School" in the North by U.S. News & World Report's 2019 "America's Best Colleges,” and a “Best Value School” and is ranked in the top 100 “Regional Universities of the North” and in the top 25 for “Best Undergraduate Teaching.”  Champlain is also featured in the Fiske Guide to Colleges for 2020 as one of the "best and most interesting schools" in the United States, Canada and Great Britain and is a 2019 College of Distinction. Champlain College's 139th Commencement was held at Edmunds Field in Burlington, Vt on Saturday, May 13. Local Students Graduate From Champlain College

Champlain College's 10th Annual Hooding & Commencement Exercises were held on May 10 at Roger H. Perry Hall on campus. Some 128 candidates for master degrees were honored. Former Vermont Gov. Madeleine May Kunin was the Commencement speaker. She was the fourth woman to be elected Governor in the United States and the first woman to serve as Governor of Vermont. Angela Valentinni '13 was the student speaker and C. Sebastian Massey '12 spoken on behalf of the alumni. Champlain College President David Finney conferred degrees in a range of programs, from MBA and Health Care Management to Master of Fine Arts in Emergent Media and Master of Science in Law. Local Students Graduate From Champlain College

The Champlain College 135th Commencement took place outdoors, under a tent on Edmunds Field in Burlington on Saturday, May 4. In all, 470 undergraduates earned their degrees. Vermont novelist and New York Times Bestseller, Chris Bohjalian delivered the Commencement address to degree candidates. George Chaffee, Vermont's captive insurance association founder, spoke on behalf of the two honorary degrees that were conferred. Bohjalian, received a Doctor of Fine Arts honorary degree; Chaffee, received a Doctor of Commerce honorary degree. Champlain College President David Finney noted a long list of accomplishments that graduating students had already achieved while working, serving and playing at Champlain. "Over 50 percent of the graduating class will be starting jobs within their field of study in the next few weeks," he recognized. Local Students Graduate From Champlain College

Champlain College's 134th Commencement took place at Memorial Auditorium in Burlington on Saturday, May 5. In all, 451 undergraduates and 66 graduate students earned their degrees. Dublin scholar, Dr. Patrick Masterson delivered the Commencement address to degree candidates. Andrea Rogers, founder and former director of the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, spoke in honor of the three honorary degrees that were conferred. Champlain College President David Finney noted a long list of accomplishments that graduating students had already achieved while working, serving and playing at Champlain. "Over 50 percent of the graduating class will be starting jobs within their field of study in the next week," he recognized, "and eleven have already created their own businesses while at Champlain."
