Champlain College is a private, undergraduate and graduate college that offers professionally focused programs balanced by an interdisciplinary core curriculum. Since 1878, Champlain College has provided career-focused education to students from its hilltop campus in Burlington, Vermont. Champlain's distinctive educational approach embodies the notion that true learning only occurs when information and experience come together to create knowledge. Champlain offers traditional undergraduate and online undergraduate courses, along with online certificate and degree programs and eight master's degree programs. Champlain offers study abroad programs at its campuses in Montreal, Quebec and Dublin, Ireland. Champlain College is included in the Princeton Review's The Best 384 Colleges: 2019 Edition. Orientation Leader 2014-2015

The Orientation Leaders welcome the class of 500-600 students into orientation each August and lead them in events they've arranged such as cruise tours, guest comedians, and fun at the Grind. They deliver information to the new students about what is happening during orientation and facilitate the meetings and events with the students. The Orientation Leaders also work with students who begin in the Spring semester. The following students were hired for the 2014-2015 year.

Nepal International Service Trip Participant

During May, nine students will volunteer in Katmandu, Nepal as part of an international service trip through Champlain College's Center for Service and Civic Engagement. The trip is in partnership with Volunteers For Peace, a Vermont-based organization that places hundred of volunteers all over the world each year. Champlain College's 11th Annual Hooding & Commencement Exercises were held on May 9 at Roger H. Perry Hall at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Some 67 candidates for master's degrees were honored. Chief People Officer of Wilderflower Bread Company Dr. Janine Allo was the commencement speaker. The following received master's degrees:

Senior Dinner Award Recipient

Champlain Theatre Playwriting Competition Performance

Champlain students were challenged to create short plays to be performed. Not only were the students unaware of who their actors would be when writing their scripts, they had only 2 days to produce their work. Students were exposed to the world of theatre in hopes to spur them into finding a passion there. Prizes were as follows: first place $500, second place $250, and third place $150.

Elevator Pitch 2014 People's Choice Awards

This past February, 57 Champlain College students competed to pitch an original and creative business idea to Burlington area business people who would then decide on a first, second and third place winner in three different categories. The categories included non-profit/ social advocacy, job/internship seekers, and entrepreneurs. These students won the People's Choice Awards which was voted on by the audience.

Champlain Abroad Fall 2013 Montreal, Quebec

Students studied abroad in Montreal, Quebec during the Fall 2013 semester. Students took full advantage of the local Champlain faculty and staff at the Montreal Campus who provided guided immersion tours and encouraged students to make their own travel opportunities. While abroad, students are also able to create strong friendships, share experiences and support each other in their explorations of place and self.
