The following Seniors were recognized during the Fifth Annual Graduate and Trustee Dinner which was held April 3, 2014 at IDX Student Life Center at Champlain College. The annual dinner celebrates the graduating seniors and kicks off the events leading up to the May 5 Commencement at Memorial Auditorium.

Champlain College's Division of Communication and Creative Media honored the following students for their outstanding efforts within their field of study this past academic year.

The following students were elected to be a part of Champlain College's Student Government Association.

Students participated in Champlain Theatre's Production of Sweeney Todd during two weekends in February.

Champlain students were challenged to create short plays to be performed. Not only were the students unaware of who their actors would be when writing their scripts, they had only 2 days to produce their work. Students were exposed to the world of theatre in hopes to spur them into finding a passion there. Prizes were as follows: first place $500, second place $250, and third place $150.

This past February, 57 Champlain College students competed to pitch an original and creative business idea to Burlington area business people who would then decide on a first, second and third place winner in three different categories. The categories included non-profit/ social advocacy, job/internship seekers, and entrepreneurs. These students won the People's Choice Awards which was voted on by the audience.

Students studied abroad in Montreal, Quebec during the Fall 2013 semester. Students took full advantage of the local Champlain faculty and staff at the Montreal Campus who provided guided immersion tours and encouraged students to make their own travel opportunities. While abroad, students are also able to create strong friendships, share experiences and support each other in their explorations of place and self.

The Vagina Monologues, first performed in 1996, and has since been translated into over 48 languages and performed in over 140 countries, will be presented at Champlain College on Feb. 14 to benefit Hope Works, a local non-profit dedicated to ending all forms of sexual violence.

The following students were honored with a Recognition of Student Excellence at the Champlain College Core Division Third Annual Awards Ceremony. The Core Division faculty members, recognize students throughout all Champlain College majors who show outstanding efforts throughout the year on group and individual projects within their Core classes.
