Champlain College is a private, undergraduate and graduate college that offers professionally focused programs balanced by an interdisciplinary core curriculum. Since 1878, Champlain College has provided career-focused education to students from its hilltop campus in Burlington, Vermont. Champlain's distinctive educational approach embodies the notion that true learning only occurs when information and experience come together to create knowledge. Champlain offers traditional undergraduate and online undergraduate courses, along with online certificate and degree programs and eight master's degree programs. Champlain offers study abroad programs at its campuses in Montreal, Quebec and Dublin, Ireland. Champlain College is included in the Princeton Review's The Best 384 Colleges: 2019 Edition. For the fourth year in a row, Champlain was named a "Most Innovative School" in the North by U.S. News & World Report's 2019 "America's Best Colleges,” and a “Best Value School” and is ranked in the top 100 “Regional Universities of the North” and in the top 25 for “Best Undergraduate Teaching.”  Champlain is also featured in the Fiske Guide to Colleges for 2020 as one of the "best and most interesting schools" in the United States, Canada and Great Britain and is a 2019 College of Distinction. Champlain Theatre Presents 'Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet)'

Champlain Theatre presented its second production of the 2015-16 school year, "Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet)" directed by Joanne Farrell, from Nov. 5-7 and 11-14 at the Champlain College Alumni Auditorium in Burlington, Vt.

Champlain College Students Participate in 48-Hour Playwriting Competition

The following Champlain College students participated in Champlain Theatre's 2nd annual 48-hour playwriting competition. Students met at 5 p.m. Friday, March 20 to receive a prompt and spent the next day writing a 10 minute play. Writers met their actors on Sunday morning to rehearse, and the plays were performed at the Playwriting Competition Showcase on Sunday night. The first place winners were awarded $500, the second place winners received $250, and the third place winners won $150.

Champlain College Students to Present "Vagina Monologues" on Feb. 14

The Vagina Monologues, first performed in 1996, and has since been translated into over 48 languages and performed in over 140 countries, will be presented at Champlain College on Feb. 14 to benefit Hope Works, a local non-profit dedicated to ending all forms of sexual violence.

Students Participate in Champlain College Theatre Production

Recently the Champlain College Theatre put on a riveting performance of the William Shakespeare tragedy, "Hamlet." The show, which took place over Feb. 13-16 & Feb. 20-23 was a collaboration between Champlain students/faculty and local Burlington actors.

Students put together an original Champlain College Theatre production.

In only three months time 30 Champlain students from all different majors collaborated together to put on an entire student run theater production at Champlain College titled aEUR~Lemonade. The play, originally a student's senior capstone project turned into Champlain Theatre's first New Works Festival, a place where students can feature their original work on an annual basis
