Morandah Garrett Was A Featured Student Panelist For The 2017 Women's Empowerment Symposium at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Garrett is a Psychology major from Washington, DC.

The panelists talked about their own personal experiences of feminism and what it meant to them. The panel was moderated by Emily Rice '17.

The goal of the Women's Empowerment Symposium and the Women's Empowerment Initiative is to cultivate confidence and courage by fostering the achievements of women. It strives to empower current and future leaders, and to provide learning, networking, and recognition oppurtunities for students, faculty and staff. The symposium program aims to support women but not to the exclusion of others. They hope to represent a spectrum of identities while providing information and oppurtinies the empower and strengthen the Champlain College community, regardless of gender identity.
