Jacqueline Carroll of Wayne, PA receives Stowe Story Labs Fellowship

2016 May 16

Jacqueline Carroll of Wayne, PA received the Stowe Story Labs Fellowship at the Division of Communication and Creative Media Honors Night Ceremony on Thursday, April 14 at Champlain College's campus in Burlington, Vt.

The students were honored for their hard work throughout the semester, and the celestial themed event also included a stargazing reception where the "star" honorees and their guests were invited to view various constellations with high performance telescopes provided by the Vermont Astronomical Society.

"We are tremendously proud of our CCM students' accomplishments. Honors Night is an opportunity to publicly recognize and celebrate their talent and hard work, and their dedication to serving Champlain's mission of being 'the finest small, globally and professional focused college in the United States.' We introduced several new awards this year, including academic scholarships, to further support the success of our students," says CCM Division Dean Paula Willoquet Maricondi.

Two Champlain College Fellowships are awarded each year from Stowe Story Labs. One fellowship is awarded to an outstanding student studying screenwriting or filmmaking at Champlain College, and the other to a graduating senior. The fellowships covers fees, meals and lodging at the Fall Labs. Furthermore, in a new addition this year, each Champlain Fellow will get a free copy of Final Draft 9, the newest version of the industry standard in screenwriting software.
