Emily Kueppers of Woodbury, MN participated in the 2016 Mr. Champlain Competition.

On March 24, eight contestants competed in the ninth annual Mr. Champlain competition, held in Alumni Auditorium on Champlain College's campus in Burlington, Vt. Will Saxe, a 2015 graduate and the winner of last year's competition, returned to host the event. Contestants tried to win over the audience and judges through talent, beachwear, formal wear, and question and answer rounds. The competition, which was organized by the campus event-planning group CHAMP, featured faculty and staff judges Catherine Bergeron-Radoux, a campus fitness center personal trainer, Ken Wade, a CORE professor, and Sandi Earle, a 2014 alum and chef for 12 years at the College. The Champlain Dance Team also performed during the event.

At the end of the night, Emily Kueppers ('18) was awarded with first place and the title of 2016 Mr. Champlain, receiving a crown, sash, and prize for their efforts. Dylan Kiely ('16) was presented with the runner-up title, and Logan Rice ('18) was granted third place.
