Emily Kueppers of Woodbury, MN had the honor of having an essay that she wrote for her Core-240 Bodies class at Champlain College accepted to the ISOM Student Gender Conference.

The ISOM Student Gender Conference is a national undergraduate event organized by the Sarah Isom Center for Women and Gender Studies at the University of Mississippi. The conference took place March 2-4, 2016, and this year's theme was "Undoing the Norms", inviting participants to question the "norms" of their disciplines of study, society, and of their lives.

Kueppers, a sophomore Creative Media major, was committed to writing a compelling and important narrative in her essay. The Isom Women's Center stated in an e-mail that "The conference's dynamic theme generated a fantastic pool of paper and panel proposals" and congratulated Kueppers on her achievement.
