Dominic Rizzo of East Greenwich, RI participated in the second annual 48-hour Playwriting Competition at Champlain College.

Students met at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 20 to receive a prompt and spent the next day writing a 10 minute play. Writers met their actors on Sunday morning to rehearse, and the plays were performed at the Playwriting Competition Showcase on Sunday night.

The first place winners were awarded $500, the second place winners received $250, and the third place winners won $150.
